When the words ‘low impact’ are said, most people stop listening because they believe they have to give up their way of living. Which is completely false. Going into this lifestyle simplifies and slows down the hustle around you and makes one’s way of living easier. I have been living a low impact lifestyle for almost a year now and it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. The benefits are infinite, make you feel good, and assure that you are doing good to our planet.
15 simple ways to go low-impact
- Use a reusable water bottle, coffee cup, etc. to take with you when you are out and about.

- Bamboo utensils (take them when you go out to eat)
- Use jars and reusable bags for the groceries
- Take your lunch in reusable containers instead of plastic baggies
- Buy second hand clothing
- Vegan shampoo, conditioner, and soap bars
- Cloth napkins
- Less packaged and processed food
- Homemade deodorant
- Reduce -> Reuse-> Recycle
- Reusable coffee filter instead of k-pods and paper filters
- Vegan and eco-friendly cosmetics
- Buy things locally grown and/or made
- Drive less when you can walk to certain places, or carpool with friends when you are heading to the same place
